My name is Jennyfer Gibson, and I am a HiSET graduate. I attended the YouthBuild program, where my teacher, Mrs. Chantel Williams, taught me everything I needed to prepare for the HiSET test.
The first time I took the test, I passed every subject except math. With the help of Mrs. Williams and a few more attempts, I was able to pass the math section and graduate.
I would like to thank my family for all the encouragement they gave me, and everyone at YouthBuild for their help and kindness. I also want to give a very special thanks to Mrs. Chantel Williams for her dedication, the love she showed, and everything she taught me.
While attending YouthBuild, I received my high school equivalency diploma, NCCER Certification for construction, CPR certification and employment.
My name is Heaven Jordan, and I enrolled in the HiSET program on August 18, 2025, because I wanted to complete my education and begin building a better future for myself. I knew earning my diploma would open the door to further education and more job opportunities.
During the program, one challenge I faced was staying organized and managing everything so I would not fall behind. Before enrolling in YouthBuild, my math skills were limited, but throughout the program, I learned a great deal and became more confident in my abilities.
I am thankful for the support of my mom, siblings, and my teacher, Mrs. Chantel Williams. Her empowering teaching style and guidance helped me stay motivated and played a big role in my success.
In the future, I plan to attend college and pursue a career in the medical field. I am proud of how far I have come and excited for what lies ahead. While attending YouthBuild, I received my high school equivalency diploma, NCCER certification for construction and gained valuable job opportunities.
