About Lasalle CAA, Inc.

LaSalle Community Action Association, Incorporated is a nonprofit corporation incorporated under the laws of the State of Louisiana. The Association is governed by a Board of Directors duly elected by members. The Association operates as a community action agency administering various federal and state funded programs designed to provide assistance to the poor and disadvantaged in various parishes in Louisiana. The following programs, with their approximate percentage of total revenues indicated, are administered by the Association:

  • Community Services Block Grant (4%)
  • Emergency Food and Shelter (0.4%)
  • Weatherization Program (2%)
  • Head Start Program (42%)
  • Head Start Food Reimbursement Program (3%)
  • Section 8 Housing Assistance Program (2%)
  • WIA (10%)
  • LlHEAP Energy Assistance (13%)
  • S.T.E.P. (0.2%)
  • General Assistance and Other Programs (0.4 %)

Mission Statement

LaSalle Community Action Association, Incorporated and its Board of Directors is on a MISSION to assist low-income individuals, children, and families in meeting their goal of economic stability. This goal shall be obtained through a variety of services and resources designed to protect their physical and emotional well-being, in accordance with all of our funding sources.

STATEMENT OF PHILOSOPHY

LaSalle Community Action Association, Incorporated and its Board of Directors is committed to the recognition of the basic human needs of our clients and employees. We further acknowledge the civil rights of all, thereby extending respect for the integrity of the individual, children, and family in the delivery of services in a fair, equitable, and compassionate manner.

VISION STATEMENT

LaSalle Community Action Association, Incorporated and its Board of Directors envision, as a result of our efforts, that our services will assist individuals, children, and families to achieve self-sufficiency.
